Independent radio station Dublab has announced a forthcoming book which will look back at over 20 years of broadcasting.
The 260-page book titled Dublab: From the Archives of Future Roots Radio follows the of the station growth from grassroots to world-known.
Dublab was around for the “dawn of internet radio” working as, “an early platform for emerging artists” including Flying Lotus, Animal Collective and Julia Holter.

As a collective, Dublab is completely non-profit and have also expanded to work with art exhibitions, film projects, event production, and record releases.
Edited by Alejandro Cohen, J.C. Gabel, and Mark “Frosty” McNeill, Dublab says: “Travel back to the dawn of internet radio – a pre-podcast/smartphone/social-media era with infinite potential and flash forward for premonitions of other worlds, other sounds.”
It continues: “Wise elders, optimistic youth, and receptive listeners share their sonic worldviews. By offering an alternative to mainstream music, Dublab aims to encourage rich life experiences through deeper listening. This book is a door to your destiny. Crack it open and ride these waves.”
The book is due for release on February 1.
In the meantime, Mixmag have published its own book Destination Dancefloor which celebrates dance music and club culture around the globe.
