Germany’s MELT Festival is returning in summer 2023, and has announced its first wave of acts set to play the hedonistic event, stretching from June 8 until June 11 in its Ferropolis City of Iron home.
This initial announcement includes a plethora of globally-recognised names: late night soundtracks are set to be provided by Nia Archives, Skin on Skin, TSHA and Bru-C.
Regular MELT attendees will be returning, too: Marcel Dettmann, Shanti Celeste and Joy Orbison will be playing DJ sets, plus offerings from Daphni and Sevdaliza.

“With this first line-up announcement we would like to highlight the complete range and diversity of MELT,” explain the organisers, who’s website claims to ensure that that their line-up represents the “creativity and vibe” of its attendees, through offering a “varied, unique and multicultural” experience. Its line-up’s creation, it continues online, “focuses on a rounded experience of different sounds and musical cultures for fans worldwide to experience”.
“Whether it’s electronic live acts, German newcomers, techno and house legends, Gen Z icons or even international future greats: they all have their rightful place in the MELT cosmos,” the organisers continued in a press release. We are very pleased that we can already give a foretaste of the more than 150 acts of MELT 2023 today.”
Tickets for the festival are available now: there are a variety of options, with weekend tickets staring from €159.95. Find out more here.
