Maxi Jazz of Faithless has died at age 65. The group announced his passing on Christmas Eve, with a heartfelt statement on social media.
Born in South London in 1957, Maxi Jazz was a rapper, singer, songwriter, and DJ – an icon in dance music history. He was a founding member and lead vocalist of the electronic band Faithless, which formed circa 1995. He helped the group produce six studio albums over their tenure, including their 1996 debut, Reverence and chart-topping ‘No Roots‘ in 2004, before leaving the band In 2015 to front Maxi Jazz & The E-Type Boys as both a singer and guitarist.
