A group of hardcore Roland 909 fans have undertaken the task of replicating a 9 foot 909 drum machine. This project although to be seen occuring place in someone back yard, is one which has been taken seriously. Make no mistake this required alot of patience, planning and expertise. The team is question are Brendan McCarthy, Sam Healy, Dave Hartmann and James Rutherford
The shell of the drum machine is constructed out of wood, whilst a tensile steel and aluminium frame supports it. The knobs are also custom made in line with the original model. In total there are dozen PD-8 drum trigger pads fitted , which run into the TD-12….
