Richie Hawtin announced he’s creating a Ph.D. scholarship with the University of Huddersfield in the UK. The prolific techno producer decided to make the scholarship to inspire a new generation of talent. It’s titled “The Richie Hawtin Ph.D. Scholarship in Electronic Music, Cultures and Production.”
Additionally, Hawtin previously received an honorary Ph.D. from the University of Huddersfield, prompting his decision to partner with them.
