Florida music festival Okeechobee will take a break in 2024 as a “fallow year” intending to return to its roots and bring it back with more diverse lineups.

The news was broken by The Festive Owl who claims the break is happening in an effort to return the festival to its original, multi-genre core.

Okeechobee first began in 2016 with varied names like Kendrick Lamar, Skrillex, Robert Plant, Mac Miller, and more. Now the camping festival draws in over 30,000 attendees to the 600-acre Sunshine Grove property in Florida each year.
