A new report from consumer intelligence company CGA Nielsen – solicited by the UK’s Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) – shows that over 100 of the country’s independent nightclubs have shut down in the last year.
The CGA data, obtained over three years, indicates that over 30% of the UK’s clubs closed between June 2020 and June 2023, 12% of which shut their doors in the last 12 months.
