Burning Man’s Black Rock Desert Site Is Now Dry Enough For Attendees To Leave

After flooded roads left tens of thousands of Burning Man attendees stranded for days in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, the ground has now dried up enough for burners to begin leaving the festival site.

Burning Man organizers began directing traffic out of the festival’s main road at around 2PM local time on Monday. Despite encouraging attendees to delay their travels, organizers estimated a festival exit wait time of around five hours.
