The Weeknd’s controversial TV series, ‘The Idol’ has been cancelled after one season.

HBO has confirmed that the show – which was a co-created by The Weeknd, his longtime collaborator Reza Fahim and Euphoria’s Sam Levinson – will not have a second season.

Starring Lily-Rose Depp, Moses Sumney, Troye Sivan, BLACKPINK’s Jennie and The Weeknd, the show had been highly criticised with Rolling Stone describing the series as “torture porn” and that it had gone “wildly,…
