Planning application submitted to reopen site of Peckham Palais as a nightclub

The Peckham Palais, a large building with a clock tower on top, is set to reopen pending planning application approval.

Peckham Palais could be reopened as a new nightclub, if a planning application submitted to Southwark Council gets the green light.

The disused Victorian building was once a venue for electronic music, as well as a Jones & Higgins department store before it was closed over a decade ago.

Currently, the building is at risk of demolition – and in 2021, according to News Shopper, the venue was named the UK’s most at-risk Victorian building.
