Google is expanding its push into AI-powered music creation by bringing the platform ProducerAI into its growing suite of experimental tools. As part of the move, the company will integrate ProducerAI into Google’s Google Labs, while powering the service with an early version of its new music-generation model, Lyria 3.
Originally launched in July 2025, ProducerAI was built as the next evolution of the AI music tool Riffusion. The platform allows users to collaborate with an AI “producer” that can help generate sounds, refine lyrics, remix tracks, and even design entirely new instruments based on prompts.
