As the people of Tomorrow are set to gather at the holy grounds for weekend one of Tomorrowland, Belgian officials have announced a ban on fireworks. Mayors Jeroen Baert of Boom and Jurgen Callaerts of Rumst, together with Provincial Governor Cathy Berx with Provincial Governor Cathy Berx on the advice of the fire department, following a period of extremely high temperatures that have left the area at high risk of wildfires. The region is currently under Code Orange, the second-highest fire risk level in Belgium, which advises against activities that could increase the risk of fires in natural areas.
