There are plenty of concept albums out there. Elaine Walker’s MACROCHIP is something a little harder to categorize. Described by the electronic music pioneer as a “mini-movie album,” the eight-track project blends music and visual storytelling into a series of interconnected sci-fi adventures. Rather than creating songs first and adding visuals later, Walker developed both simultaneously, resulting in what she calls a “Synema Song” – a format where the music, characters, and narrative evolve together as a single work.
