GoPro Makes Major AI Pivot With $285 Million Merger Deal

GoPro is about to look very different.

The action camera company has entered into a definitive agreement to merge with Starman Optical, a privately held U.S. optical-photonics company, in a deal that will push the iconic camera brand beyond action sports and into AI data centers, government, defense and aerospace markets.
