Built around a central message, the track wastes little time establishing its dystopian atmosphere. The repeated vocal phrase “everything is a lie” functions as a chant that locks the track into a restless groove.
Rather than following a conventional verse-and-chorus structure, Veerus uses this repetition to steadily build tension. ‘Everything Is A Lie’ develops an underground warehouse feel with its sparse percussion and driving low-end while remaining grounded through its vocals.
