Paris-based duo Nerisah, made up of Bosnian-born Mersiha and French musician Nico, explore the lasting effects of war on their new single, “East Ghost.” Mersiha wrote the song after news of war brought back memories of her childhood in Bosnia. Pairing melancholy melodies, dreamlike instrumentation and airy vocals, it asks whether those memories ever really leave us, or are just waiting for something to bring them back.
