There are DJs who arrive on a wave of industry hype and algorithmic favour, and then there are those who build a career through years of patient, purposeful craft. Danny Howells belongs to the second category.
Born in Hastings in 1970, Howells was playing local clubs in the late 1980s when a mix tape found its way to John Digweed, then establishing Bedrock as one of the more significant club nights of its era.
