Drone Threat Forces Last Minute Cancellation of Russian Festival

Local authorities cancel one of Russia’s largest electronic music festivals, Outline, after concerns over a drone threat.

Organizers announced that the festival would no longer go ahead after receiving an official order from the administration of the Taldom Municipal District. The decision came the day of, as thousands of attendees were preparing to arrive for the week-long festival.

Organizers said they did not make the decision themselves. Instead, local authorities ordered the festival to shut down after citing a “threat of drone danger” in the area.
