I’ll admit the first time “PAGOS” hit my inbox I half-expected a polite slice of indie-psych. Then that opening fuzz bass swung in and I flashed straight back to the first time Ratatat’s “Loud Pipes” set my headphones on fire. No shock there though–half of KUNZITE is Mike Stroud, the same guitar alchemist who gave us “Cream on Chrome.”
