As Miami Music Week gets started, we managed to get a familiar, yet still unexpected, surprise. It all started with Ultra posting to Instagram with a vague Swedish House Mafia teaser. Swedish House Mafia hasn’t played Ultra since 2023, which is the most Ultra editions they’ve skipped since the breakup in 2013 (their next set was 2018).
Then the Swedes got into the act, teasing something, but nothing concrete. Soon after, they dropped the announcement. The Sebastian Ingrosso b2b Steve Angello closing set on Saturday is going to be a Swedish House Mafia takeover, framed as a festival within a festival.
