Amsterdam Dance Event turns 30 this year, and the week from Wednesday 21 to Sunday 25 October feels as much like a farewell tour as a birthday party. More than 3,600 artists will play across 1,300 events in some 300 venues, but the story running underneath the program is about the rooms themselves.
