During a recent appearance on the SubwayTakes show with Kareem Rahma, Andrew Garfield argued “you can’t legitimately call yourself a DJ unless you use physical records.” His comments follow an experience in Berlin where a sound engineer hosted an improptu vinyl rave for the actor and others after a day on set.
Garfield notes that it’s “a curated experience that requires time and energy and care and love,” not something to be taken for granted in the digital world.
