New Details Emerge in Unsolved Burning Man Homicide

More than a year after the first known homicide in Burning Man history, investigators say they have a new lead in the death of Vadim Kruglov.

The Pershing County Sheriff’s Office said it received a crime lab report in May 2026 identifying potential suspect DNA profiles tied to the investigation. Detectives are working with state and federal partners to verify the findings. Authorities emphasized that they have not identified a suspect and no arrest has been made. Kruglov, a 37-year-old Washington resident, was found dead on August 30, 2025, during Burning Man. His death remains unsolved.
