SoundCloud is beta-testing a new feature that lets artists sell music directly to fans from their profiles on the platform, without commission.
The streaming platform launched direct music purchases to a select group of 200 U.S.-based Artist Pro creators yesterday, before it goes live for all eligible creators this fall.
The feature means fans can buy and download MP3 and WAV. files without leaving SoundCloud, while artists set their own prices and keep 100% of each sale, excluding applicable fees and taxes. Participating artists can also track sales through the platform’s Artist Studio and Fan Support…
