Sphere Entertainment is planning its global expansion. When asked on the company’s second quarter earnings call on July 30 why it does not self-finance new venues instead of bringing in outside money, Executive Chairman and CEO James L. Dolan laid out their plans clearly: “I really want five, six years from now, have five venues up or more and have another five that are under construction.”
Executive Vice President David Granville-Smith said the in-house development team can take on another two to four projects over the coming year and a half.
